sorry for the dead blog

its been like what..AGES

since i posted smth here

okay so lets get going shall we..?

exit BMT and i'm in my new unit now

posted to 4th Armour Brigade as a

Recce Trooper.

or in simpler terms a Scout

normally by now people will ask.?

" do what de..?"

okay a brief summary

my job is to infiltrate enemy territory

ahead of friendly forces to execute operations

ranging from intelligence gathering to directing artillery fire.

and also air strikes.

ya so its a very demanding job basically

so training is definitely quite siong.

First

i've gotta go through Advanced Infantry Training(AIT)

a 5wk course to equip us with basic knowledge about

skills, weapons and devices that recce troopers employ
i'm in my first week only btw and its challenging

next Bike course, learning how to ride a bike. 1mth

next, the big one Recce Conversion Course
6wks course
3 weeks in Pasir Laba Camp
3weeks in Taiwan
highlights include Navigation exercises
of distances up to 40-60km
and the Combat Survival Course
aka the course that caused the dunking incident
which one NS guy died
after that then

can i call myself
a Recce Trooper.
and get my coveted Jungle Hat.

ya so thats about all.
the weeks ahead are gonna get tougher
and i'm really really afraid for myself
safetywise and training-wise.
but its okay
have faith in the Lord
if he wants me to go thru this
there must be a reason right?
this is what faith is all about
taking the step in the dark
knowing that God will catch you in the end
God will deliver
Rest on His Words when you're weary
and He will give you rest.

stay strong people
i'll try as well

learning to ride a motorcycle, o
