Chapter2: FD vs 86
so the battle begins
as the start of the downhill course
consists mainly of gentle curves and straight roads
the FD increased its lead by expotential amounts
so much that the 86 had been thrown of keisuke's mirror
up comes the first real hairpin of the course
upon clearing it Keisuke glanced into his mirror
the 86's headlights was seen very faintly
but he distanced him earlier
keisuke was still puzzled yet determined to win the race
As they approach the next part of the course
which consists of mostly haipins, the technical part of the downhill
Keisuke was furious
the 86 chased up after every sunsequent corner with speed dat was amazing
too amazing
he threw off all his thoughts nonetheless
and concentrated on racing even more..
more cautious of his cornering
Takumi was behind
not as tensed up as keisuke
he was abit surprised that he could catch up
all of a sudden he realized sumth abt the FD
its racing style became more skillful..much more than earlier
" okay..there's no way i can overtake now..the place would be..the consecative hairpins"
takumi thought
Ryousuke Takahashi, Keisuke's brother
was on the mountaintop..(the startin point)
he spoke into his
walkie talkie"where are they now..?"
"approaching the consecative hairpins..Mr ryousuke"
"alright,once they are there,tell me all the details..ALL"
"yes sir"
back at the race
takumi was already RIGHT behind the FD after several haipins
keisuke already reached his limit
a JUNK actually CAUGHT up
a realization struck his mind
" i pulled him on the straights..that means i lost him in cornering..?! impossible!
alright, i have to retain the lead..after the consecative hairpins..i'll win"
juz as keisuke said
the upcoming hairpin iz the first of the consecative hairpins
keisuke eased his foot off the accelerator to decrease his speed for the hairpin
but the 86 did not decrease its speed
" WHAT..? is he mad..?" keisuke shouted
Ryousuke's walkie talkie burst into life
" Mr ryousuke, th..that..that 86 is crazy..!! hes headed into the hairpin at full speed..!"
Ryousuke was startled
" okay..tell me EVERYTHING"
and listened further for more info
Takumi did not ease off the accelerator
he charged headlong into the hairpin
the corners of his mouth became a weak grin
the 86's engine roared
" the 86 is still not braking...he's mad..!!"
Ryousuke tensed
The hairpin came up
keisuke braked as usual to clear it
"CLUNK.!!"
keisuke was alarmed at the sudden noise
and wad the 86 did next made him doubt his eyes
"I CANT BELIEVE IT...the 86 used the inner lane and cornered at full speed..!!
Keisuke is overtaken!!!"
an electric shock ran thru ryousuke
keisuke could not have lost.....never...to a 86.?
Takumi finished his manuever
and the FD was left far behind
" Mr ryousuke..the results are out..we lost by 7 seconds"
Ryousuke was stunned
" 7 seconds,we totally lost........" he muttered to himself
the speedstars rejoiced
Takumi actually won...
after the race ryousuke and keisuke stood at the 5 consecative hairpins
" Keisuke,tell me what happened..? details.."
" well,the 86 juz charged into the hairpin then i heard a very weird sound"
" weird sound..."
ryousuke inspected the inside of the corner and made a discovery
" keisuke..i understood why u lost"
keisuke walked towards ryousuke
drainage gutters stood infront of him
" the 86..he intentionally dropped his front tires into these gutters..in this way..it would keep his car in the turn and resist the g-forces..theortically its possible"
keisuke scratched his head
" in order to use this technique..this person must be very familiar wif akina..plus any wrong timing of execution..the car would inevitable crash..this guy has superb skill..."
So the legend of the akina 86 thsu begins.......
